Cree Rider, Misisipi Mike, and a wicked washboarder named Jimmy Sweetwater have joined forces to form “Mission Three.” It is getting real good real fast. We’re a roll-n-rock trio, just a fun time footstomp boogie woog. We’re playing the cafe circuit (Revolution, Mojo Bicycle Cafe, Amnesia, etc) in preparation for our Northwest tour in late August. I’m digging it.

Yard Sale is having their cd release Saturday at Cafe Royale at in the Tendernob, and Misisipi Rider is gonna be the opener! This time out it’ll just be me and Cree (and we have Jimmy Sweetwater sitting in to distract you from our Katy and Douglessness).
Yard Sale are the best best best. Jill, Mel, and Denise are stars in their own right but together they are the whole dang Milky Way. They write and sing the neato tunes your ear longs for, some will make you laugh, some will make you cry. I could go on and on about the famous people they remind me of, but that would be boring, and who needs famous people when we have top quality singing to us for free on a Saturday night?

I’m playing tonight at Don Quixote’s California Music Hall in Felton (near Santa Cruz tonight). It’s gonna be a Mission Three gig. I guess I was booked a while ago and didn’t know it. Kind of a confusing story, but it’s all sunshine and red roses now!
Tell your friends who live in Santa Cruz to come out and show some love for a San Francisco band. It will surely help all of us to get gigs down there. Also playing will be Pete Devine’s Jug Band.
Show is starts at six, we go on around seven.

I’m playing another short solo set tomorrow (Thursday) at the Ballyhood Bar and Cafe at 19th just east of Mission St. Cree and GIlly, my two loyal fans, are both out of town, so I’ll have no one to sing the fun backup parts with me. Might you come and take their place? It’s free, it’s at 8 PM, and it’ll only take half an hour of your time! And it will bring many more hours of happiness. At least it will for me…..

Misisipi Rider is gonna be a playin’ at the Hotel Utah on Tuesday May 26. We storm the stage with a passion filled vengeance around 9:30 pm. Won’t you say yay and join us for our last official SF show till, like, August?
