Hey y’all, The topsy turvy soap opera that has been the Misisipi Rider/Good Luck Thrift Store Outfit/77 el Deora gig this Friday (2/20) at the Starry Plough has taken another final and positive happy making turn!

Me, Doug and Cree WILL BE PLAYING AFTER ALL, in our little opening slot, around 9:00 PM after all!! It became obvious that the only people being hurt by storm whipped up by a to be unnamed dust devil would be the club and the other bands on the bill (and us). To heck with that, derndangit!!

Anyway, the club has asked us to play, and 77 el Deora has asked us to play, and we hope some of y’all would like us to play too, cuz we are a gonna play!

And all bad vibes will be checked at the door!

Ain’t no party like a Gayle Lynn party, with her Shutins and Dr Hook and Yard Sale gal and the bearded men of Misisipi Rider. The sun is gonna shine all night long, all troubles will be checked at the door, and worries will be confiscated and possibly not returned!

Misisipi Rider is playing the Rickshaw stop with the superduper Eilen Jewel from Boston. Eilen is on a national and European tour in support of her critically acclaimed new record. She was through here a few months ago with Red Meat and Axton Kincaid and I heard rave reviews from everyone who caught the show. Kitty Rose opens, we close, and the night runs from 8:30 to 11:30. Help us help Americana music get a foot in the door at the Rickshaw Stop. This gig was hard to come by and let me put it this way, promises were made…
